May 2, 201016 yr Some FSX scenery claim to have (or not have) "Water Mask". Problem is I do not know what this means. What does having water mask do for the scenery? Thanks,Jim
May 2, 201016 yr They add detail to your inland/coastal water. So e.g. you will be able to see sandbanks just under the water. The Horizons Photoscenery for England & Wales (v.2) has them inbuilt, and the difference is night and day. Very impressive. Paul Skol
May 2, 201016 yr Hmm... perhaps a more appropriate response is that a Water Mask allows amphibious aircraft to land on the water, and the Mask also adds water effects to that surface if the relevant slider is set accordingly.Display of sand banks is rather a result of the custom (photo-real) scenery that uses aerial images for land and water surfaces. A Water Mask for the water areas of photo-real scenery will let you land on the water and add effects.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
May 3, 201016 yr Happy to stand corrected, I had not appreciated that. Learning something new every day :) Paul Skol
