Hm that could be it.. the manual also recommends acceleration..but always thought they were the same (except for the new airplanes etc.0

Friend of mine bought Acceleration the other day simply because the A2A Accusim pack for the B-17 was coming out, and I imagine that was probably the reason he did so. Although having said that, my Accusim A2A B-17 seems to run without problems on SP1 and SP2, and it certainly can get damaged engines. I'll be speaking to him in a while, and if he has anything to add on this matter, I'll get him to post in this thread.Al

Okay, having spoken to my buddy, here's your answer: Apparently the main thing is the supercharging modeling is better with Acceleration and there are one or two things that SP2 does not add (by default) which Acceleration does, so there you go, that'll be why it is different.A2A forum dudes have referred to Acceleration as a 'quasi SP3', however, they have also said that this limitation only effects the A2A (Accusim enhanced) Stratocruiser, as they have since found a workaround which means subsequent Accusim craft are just as functional with SP2 as they are with Acceleration. So if you have the 377, then you most likely need Acceleration to get it modeling the superchargers to their full extent. Thanks to MattGN for that info by the way, who passed it onto me from their forums.Al

There clearly are some differences between stand-alone SP2 and Acceleration SP2, although probably only minor ones. Some things that I can remember off the top of my head are:* The Flight Replicas Super Cub requires Acceleration for correct operation.* Some sceneries use objects that are only in Acceleration, e.g. http://www.narrator.dk/faroemesh.php* The Real Air Duke used to work correctly with the Reality XP GNS430/530 and acceleration, but not with SP2 alone (this has since been fixed). So something under the hood must be different from SP2. However, SP2 seems to be the standard that most developers, freeware and payware, have in mind when creating their products for FSX nowadays.
