May 4, 201016 yr A question to real pilots out there. Now I don't expect the pedals to feel like a real aircraft, but compared to say, a Cessna 172 or something of that ilk, do real pedals have that 'indent' at the centre position. I find it tricky to get nice smooth transitions from left to right rudder because of having to overcome (makes it sound tough) the notch. Any of that make sense to you? May 4, 201016 yr No, real pedals don't have any center detent like the CH Pedals do.Buth then again after a short while I got used to the center detent and now it doesn't really bother me at all.Cheers,- jahman.

I've been using these pedals for a couple of months and it still bugs me. The point is, what can I do about it. I feel a warranty nullification coming on! :(EDIT: Belay that! I've just seen pictures of the insides of the pedals. I'll get used to the indent. :( The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
May 5, 201016 yr Indeed, it's not really an detent, more like two carriages for each pedal: Once you press a pedal it's carriage moves forward, while the other pedal moves back, but the other pedal's carriage remains stationary at the back. When the rudder is centered both carriages are at the back, and that's the position the feels like a detent (but is not a detent.)So it's nothing you can fix: Would require a complete redesign. OTOH, the pedals are really sturdy and durable. Built like a truck.Cheers,- jahman.
May 24, 201016 yr Even though real planes don't have an indent, they do have the air flowing over the tail and rudder which tends to move the rudder to the neutral position. I've found the indent very useful in "finding" the center point. AMD 3800X, Gigabyte Radeon 5700XT, AS Rock X570 Phantom Gaming 4, 32mb 3600 ram

May 30, 201016 yr I have a "pair" of them too. They are a bit "tricky" getting used to with the turns. As you have "resolved" the problem I won't confuse you with my way of using them.
