Hello Guys,For some reasons, i deleted the CFG file-notePad- and let FSXA creating a brand new one, the only modifications i need are to eliminate all the red messages, slew, tower, cockpit, stall etc..i put False instead of True, the problem is that all these messages still on the screen, except the stall, overspeed and brake mesgs ? The CFG file, the one on note Pad and the one on Text document are exactly the same, so no conflict, what's wrong, that's not the 1st time i did these modif but for now...!!Any help appreciated.Cheers,

Yves

Not exactly sure I understand but think you want to get rid of all the red warning and information messages when FSX is loaded. In FS9, this was done by adding a line under the [MAIN] heading in the FS9.cfg as follows:HideInfoText=1. Since the FSX.cfg is very similar to the FS9.cfg, you can try adding this line in the FSX.cfg too. It should work. Best regards,Jim

You might check to make sure your mods were not saved as FSX.CFG.TXT , rather than just FSX.CFG.Has happened to me !Good luck.Joe

HideInfoText=0 in section MAIN does indeed remove messages. But should you wish to LIMIT the display time to merely a short duration, you can control that with-DISPLAY- section at the topChangeTIme=0.25000000 (my current setting)But I observe this is not SECONDS as you would assume but something about 4x longer..25 gives me a 1 second message display and 4.0 gives a 15-16 second display - and .01 gives just a brief 'flash' so that you know it's done something.Loyd
