May 6, 201016 yr Well folks, For those who follow the space shuttle program, A sad day's coming up. On May 14th, Space Shuttle Atlantis will be flown by Commander Kenneth ham with his crew to Resupply the ISS. Once she comes back to earth, Atlantis will never see space again, Discovery will follow suit, and the last shuttle to fly to space will be Endeavour. Thus, God speed Ken, and crew. And a big Thank you to Atlantis for her faithful service. A full 25 years of Space flight. Just one more flight to knock out before she can take her long awaited break. :(
May 6, 201016 yr I will be at the May 14th launch. Hope all goes as planned as Friday will be the only full day I can spend in Florida. :( It will be my first --and last-- shuttle launch. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

May 6, 201016 yr Yeah, I'm going to miss it. I watched every launch since 2004 from my backyard! The last one was really spectacular, not only was it a dawn launch with clear skies, we even heard it, due to a temperature inversion all the way from Kissimmee. 15 minutes before the launch, the ISS flew right over head.
