If you have less than perfect eyesight, like me, you can improve the character sizein the VS gauge, so you can better see if it is indicating ft or ft/min...To do this, open up the BonF33.cab file and double the sizeof the vs_ft and vs_ftmin.bmp files as well as adjusting the position of thecharacter strings in the VS.xml file to <Element> <Position X="260" Y="180" />

Hi Bert, I was able to extract the files needed for the tweak, but how do you put them back into a .CAB file?flya150

You can either use the Cabdir program that comes with the FSX SDK, or create a subfolder to the Gauges folder and call it BonF33. Unzip all the files from the cab file into this folder. FSX will look first for the folder, and if it cannot find it, it will look for the cab file. So, you can keep the cab file in the Gauges folder, as a backup, and activate it by renaming the BonF33 folder at any time..
