Oh dear.Seeing as I couldnt wait for the 64bit OS I have just installed a very lite FS9 - meshes, UTerrains, Landclasses and some freeware scenes.I checked the paging file to its maximum recommended.No "address aware" or 3Gb switch.FS crashes on loadup with "Insufficient memory" and something that "could not be read".One thing important: I messed up and updated to FS9.1 AFTER I had done some - including switching to the "no-cd" .exe Nicholas.

If you try to install the 9.1 update over a hacked (i.e. no-cd) version, you can end up with updated FS modules that don't match up with the executable. I'd reinstall FS9, run it one time to build all the indices and config files, then do the update to 9.1, THEN install stuff. I'd go with Win 7 64...based on the unhappy issues people are now having with nVidia 470/480 support on XP64, it's clear to me that there's not much of a future for hardware/driver support for XP64.The only payware that's not likely to work with Win 7 64 also won't work with XP64...that'd be anything that's still using 16-bit code. The 2005 and earlier (i.e. non-WAAS) versions of the Reality XP Garmins used the 16-bit Garmin trainer, so they won't run in a 64-bit OS, and there are a few scenery installers (older FlyTampa stuff) that had minor problems running a script, requiring me to do a manual scenery.cfg update to add them.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

Other possibilities are a misbehaving HDD or controller on the motherboard. Well, not everyone here. Given that you have a 64-bit OS on the way, try running without 4GBT. I found 4GBT to be a lot more trouble than it was worth, and don't generally recommend it.
