5/9/10 CNBC Documentary on AA

Featured Replies

Today on CNBC (Channel 106 on Verizon FiOS) there is a 2 hour program on American Airlines, the only American airline that has not filled for bankruptcy in its past. It's pretty interesting but of course this is not Discovery channel or National Geographic so it doesn't go that much into the details of the systems (but I'm only 8 minutes in so that may prove to be wrong). This would be great if you want to introduce aviation to your mom on mothers day :(. Whats better than having a 2 hour long program on the TV than having to click through 10 minute videos on youtube?EDIT: I guess the myth is true, I saw a small boy playing FS2004 or FSX on his laptop while flying on an airplane. lolI also see why people hate airlines in America. Looks like they are hot, cramped, and uncomfortable. I don't think I'll ever fly on AA in my future.

I caught this on Thanksgiving (for some reason it seems to be on during the holidays haha) a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Almost considered ordering it on DVD, too. CNBC seems to have a knack for documentaries in general, too. Although "AA" wasn't terribly, terribly detailed as OP said (and it really can't be, for both time and audience concerns), it was definitely a treat.

I think I caught that around Thanksgiving. It was pretty interesting. I really hope American Airlines stays around, what with all the Legacy carriers merging into each other.
