Found elsewhere, but thought it amusing enough to risk sharing it here:

They should have taken the bus!It looks like they went missed three times at MHT, tried PSM once, went missed there, then it looks like they were going to try MHT again before they finally went back to BOS. In between they were getting vectored all over the region and completed at least one figure eight and crossed their old course many times.Winds at MHT were advertised as variable and gusting to 33 at the time, but I think that is on the low side. http://flightaware.com/live/flight_track_b...time=1273425000http://flightaware.com/live/flight/KAP323/...S/KMHT/tracklog

Of course the decision to land in those conditions would be deemed negligent had something happened. "There's old pilots and there's bold pilots..." :(Variable with 33 knot gust is crap weather any way you put it (as far as I'm concerned--I'm chicken). The word bearable is a funny word to use when you have 9+ passengers on board! :(
