No, I believe the latest version requires 9.1. The 9.1 update brings many fixes and enhancements to FS9 so I am not sure why you would not load it.

the update caused some add ons to not work for me..what will the 737 (not)do without the 9.1 update?mike ryder

I'm not positive, but I am pretty sure the 737 installer will stop with a message that FS9.1 is required.
