August 8, 200322 yr I reinstalled fs2002 last night, and installed Posky's 747 version 3 and flew a quick circuit. I then did the same in 2004, and I could tell no difference between the two flights. If there is a difference, it was so subtle that I did not notice it even when specifically looking for it. I might try some smaller ga planes to see how those go. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
August 8, 200322 yr >Development of the product cost the company probably around>$10 million.>Marketing, production and sales of 1.5 million copies (an>optimistic guess but not unrealistic) is another $30 million.>>That makes $40 million cost to get the product to us the>customers.Hmmm.... let's do the math on this just for fun. The above translates to a cost of $26 US per unit. If the retail distribution chain is working at a 40% margin, at a list price of $54, Microsoft is selling FS2004 out the door to the distribution channels at around $32 a copy. This means Microsoft is receiving a 12% margin on FS2004. I don't think so. Bill Gates did not become the richest man in the world by running a company that earns a 12% margin on it's products!
