With the NGX looking less and less likely, I decided that I needed to get an advanced FSX aircraft to give myself a valid performance estimate. Since I already have the VRS bug in FS9 and was looking for something new, I settled on the JS41. 30 minutes later, after installing FSUIPC and WideFS, I hit "Fly Now". Sitting in a tottally unfamiliar cockpit, I managed to take off, mess with the autopilot, and then turn around and land. Feeling sure of myself, I tried to start up the engines. I got #1 turning easily, so I happily punched start on #2, which promptly burst into flames. After reading the tutorial, I managed to start up with no issues what so ever. You guys managed to create a truely amazing simulation, even for a "lite" product. If this is what is in store for us on the NGX, then mid 2010 suddenly seems alot further away.

I believe he means "less and less likely I will be able to run it," based on the rest of his post? Correct me if I too have interpreted i wrong :(.

Good point...you're probably right. I do hope, though, that the NGX's performance requirements won't be overly demanding and quite beyond the J4100's, which I can manage.

Why are you less likely to be able to run it? Do you have a computer more than 6 years old?

Ah, crap. There should have been a "For FS9" at the end of that statement. Oops.
