  1. In my case, I discovered that my FSX.cfg file had Autotrim=True under the REALISM section. I'm not sure how that became enabled, but once I changed it to False, all was well.
  2. Wow, that's a bit harsh. I love my PMDG NGX and 777 just as much as anyone here, but there are other developers producing some beautifully textured aircraft. I'd second Tony's endorsement of IXEG's 737, and for P3D, I think the FSL A320 and the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 are equal to any PMDG plane in appearance....but I'm biased in the case of one of those.
  3. Rob, I was stumped by this, but I've stumbled onto something that works for me: make sure That X-Plane is in windowed mode and that the X-Plane window is maximized. If it's not, I experience just what you are. Hope this helps.
  4. I updated my Steam version of X-Plane 10 this morning and ran it. The version shows as 10.50 and the Steam build number shows (in the Steam overlay) as 1305124
  5. Thanks very much...perfect timing for this recent convert.
  6. vgbaron is right - see here towards bottom of page: http://www.toposim.net/distrib/notams/
  7. Nor is that necessary to enjoy this aircraft. I'm running FSX-SE on a mid-level machine (i5-2500K at 4.4, 980GTX) and am able to enjoy a smooth experience with autogen at sparse, scenery complexity at mid-point, and light settings for commercial AI. This is with ORBX Global and Vector, AS16/ASCA, and payware airports. I found Matt Davies' settings video for this aircraft quite useful but dialed back some of his recommended settings.
  8. I've found this downloadable (for a price) reference quite useful as I've learned the A320: http://www.utem.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=18
  9. Yes, you'll still get the MCDU (FMS) and LCD display pop-ups.
  10. Thanks, Jose...good news.
  11. I forced myself to fly left-handed during beta-testing the FSL A320 using a Thrustmaster T16000M...tough at first, but the plane is so easy to hand-fly, I've grown accustomed to it!
  12. Gabriel is right...the aircraft will work in either windowed or full screen mode. I use both - windowed as I'm setting up a flight employing multiple apps (like vPilot) and then full screen inflight. The developers recommendation stems from experiences with FSX, as Gabriel suggests.
  13. Not sure what this means but I've never experienced this in almost 2 years of testing. Perhaps the user's settings need adjustment. In my experience, autobraking and manual braking work as expected.
  14. Eugene- I was having a tough time setting up EZDok for this aircraft. What finally worked was editing the aircraft's title (in its aircraft.cfg) from the long and complicated title that installed to something much shorter and simpler...Lear 25. No more EZDok issues after that.
  15. Ryan, have you been able to set up EZDok for this bird? I'm having trouble getting an EZDok profile set up....thanks.

It's a bit more FPS intensive than the NGX, IMHO, but not dramatically. Roughly on par with the PMDG 777, and if one tempers their inclination to apply high settings of autogen, AI planes, scenery, etc, the experience is smooth and very satisfying. This is on my machine, a i5-2500K running at 4.4GHz, 16 GB RAM, nVidia 980.

I'm not sure that you're NOT a "normal" customer...I'm similar in my approach to the hobby. While I probably won't use half of the functionality of the FSL A320X, I wouldn't want to fly any other Airbus, given its PMDG-level fidelity and immersive sounds, effects, flight model, etc. She's a terrific simulation....but then I'm biased, having had the privilege of beta testing her over the past year or more.

It does (and it isn't an "option"), and on my rig is only 4-5 seconds.
  19. I've found the throttles much easier to set up than another Airbus simulation. And there is a paint kit...how good it is I couldn't say, as I'm not a painter. In the hands of capable folks, it's produced some beautiful liveries.
  20. I believe that it does approach "the standard...as high as PMDG", having had the privilege of beta testing the FSL A320X and owning and frequently flying several PMDG aircraft.
  21. http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/7132-a320-x-nda-gag-order-lifted/ More to come soon, I'm sure.
