  1. Good catch and let me know if you need a copy of the original aircraft.cfg file via PM.
  2. I do own both the SF260 and the RV7, and while I enjoyed the SF260 alot in its day, I now prefer the Baytower offering. It has a great GPS solution (particularly with the RealityXP Garmin 530 GNS integration) and more finished feel in terms of the flight characteristics, sounds, and visuals. And as Bert said above, everything in the 'pit works.
  3. Thanks very much! One question, Bernt...does this patch modify the Super Cargomaster as well? How should we install it to modify that model?
  4. I know, CoolP...it's maddening, isn't it? But I bought this one and have to say that it's up there with the RealAir Duke (both of 'em) and the accusimmed A2A Cub as one of my favorite GA planes now. The RealityXP integration is terrific, and the rest...well, it's very good. I have the Aerosft Diamond DA20-100 also, which is a very comprehensive and novel add-on, but I could never really warm up to it. This RV7 is one that I'll fly a lot more, because of its modelling, its speed, its range, and the visibility from the cockpit.
  5. Where did you get this new FDE?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. Try here: http://www.myflightsimblog.com/MyFlightSimBlog/KSEA.html
  7. Sorry, I don't as I haven't tried this application as yet. Try seeking help on the MyTraffic support forum here: http://forum.simflight.com/forum/7-mytraffic-support-forum/
  8. MyTrafficInteractive.pdf...it's in your <FSX directory>/MyTraffic/Manual folder
  9. As CoolP and trimwheel advise, keep that centerline (or taxi line as the case might be) right between your legs (or directly in center of your line-of-sight, if that sounds more comfortable ). For too long, I kept imagining that I had to keep it to my right a bit....wrong! I'm not in a car (in the USA...) afterall.
  10. More testing required, but this might be the sweet spot....thanks, Bert.
  11. Thanks, Paul, and I've already got the HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweak in there. I'll try the other approach under bufferpools just for fun. Overall, I'm very pleased with how this rig runs FSX.
  12. I've started to use this tweak again on a new build: i5 2500K overclocked to 4.4, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and a 570 GTX. It definately improves smoothness with the only downside being that I occasionally see brief white flashes on the outside terrain when changing views. This happens only on terrain with high autogen and scenery complexity and is presumably due to texture loading delays. The flashes are so brief as to be only a momentary distraction.Might there be a tweak that I've overlooked to address this minor downside? Overall, it's not enought to drive me to stop using UsePools=0
  13. You're welcome, Tom, and I'm always glad to help a fellow flyfisherman....I envy you your location.
  14. Go into FSX Settings, select Display (i think...maybe it's General?), and make sure that the 2-D panel transparency slider is all the way to the left.
  15. The Flight1 Mustang doesn't utilize the Garmin 500 (or even the imitation G1000) that the default FSX aircraft employ...rather, the Mustang's GPS is a high fidelity model (but not an exact replica) of a Garmin 1000....leagues beyond what's default in FSX.As regards framerates, I stand by my earlier stated experience: the Mustang runs very well on my system. But I realize that it's hopeless to compare my experience with anyone else's due to the large number of variables that affect framerate. On my rig, I've got MyTraffic 5.4 with commercial and GA traffic at 30-35%, autogen and scenery complexity at high and dense, REX Overdrive, GEX, and UTX installed, and AA at 8xSQ.
  16. Depends on your system, of course, and the Mustang runs perfectly on my i5 2500K - based system. It's a wonderful addon as is the Eaglesoft Citation X v2.
  17. Can't access that Facebook video even when signed up to my account...but thanks for posting and providing the pics.
  18. :( ...totally blanked on the "next page" option! No wonder I couldn't find the cargo door when the GSX guys were begging me to open it...
  19. This addon is very cool, and many of the animations are tailored to popular payware aircraft (like the NGX). Audio communications included as well! Have just begun to explore it...here's a quick screenshot of the pushback and wingwalker at FSDT's KLAS:GSX1 by wklockner, on Flickr
  20. I appreciate a copy as well, please. Thanks very much!
  21. Using the GoodReader app that Noah mentioned above, one can easily transfer .pdf files from Dropbox to GoodReader via GoodReader's built-in integration with Dropbox. Use any internet connected device to download the charts into Dropbox; then open GoodReader ( a great app on its own), click on the "Connect to Servers" tab on the right, add your Dropbox account (free), and then you'll be able to load the .pdfs right from Dropbox into GoodReader.
  22. Thanks, Tom, for highlighting the reason that AVSIM is always my first FS-related stop every day.
