Fraps, Hypercam, or what?

Featured Replies

I am trying to determine what the best program would be for recording video in FSX, and in other programs. I own a license of Fraps but I am wondering if something out there might be better or is Fraps the best thing out there for this purpose? Thanks in advance.

FRAPS is probably the 'standard' application for that kind of thing, and it seems to be about the best one there is. I've used it for recording a lot of FS stuff, and it seems to do the job well. File sizes are large for FRAPS videos, but you probably knew that already if you have used it. Plenty of HD space and a fair bit of fast RAM helps.Make sure you check the FRAPS website every now and then, as it gets updated fairly regularly and seems to have got a lot more streamlined of late; downloading the latest version will be free for you if you've already bought the thing.Al

I recorded this video using FRAPS... It is FS9 and recorded in 720P. It's not the most artistic video, but you can get a general idea of how a video might turn out....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmKtEQh2RDQ-John
