...put pictures of your ASE and FSUIPC setup, and save us from the misery? Please...it will take you 10 or 15 minutes, but it can save other people a lot of time. I've pressed weather OFF, in FSUIPC, "six million times" till now...but no luck with pop up weather.Yesterday, i disabled ALL my scenery, except default FS...it was like "blank-super-clean" FS...still the same. Clouds/weather change like slide show...changed back to AS6.5...no problem at all, with same FSUIPC settings.

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....

Hi,Nothing to show for FSUIPC as for FS9, it is registered and set to default settings and weather settings Off. For FSX it is un-registered.The first 4 ss are for FS9, the second 4 for FSX.

Thanks Jim, but unfortunately, even with your settings, still got pop up clouds and weather. :( Also, i've noticed, when i use AS6.5, clouds moving, like they do in real life. And, when AS6.5 load METAR after, let's say 10 minutes, clouds are allready there when they need to be. But with ASE, clouds just hung in there, like static pictures, no moving at all. Maybe that's the reason why am i see pop up weather...i mean, they don't move, and it's normal that after 10 or 15 minutes, when ASE reload weather, they are not goin' to be on same place...back to AS6.5 again. :(

Hi,No, clouds should move just as before.

I haven't checked the box "force high priority processes" in my FS9 setup before. Yesterday I tried it twice with the box checked and it seems to cure the problem with popping clouds and disappearing layers. Don't count your chickens before they're hatched, but up to now it seems to work at least for me.

Cheers - Stefan Maus

Finally got it...it was so stupid...I have registered FSUIPC, and for some reason, in weather settings, "clear weather STOP dynamics" function was CHECKED. Never touch that, but maybe it come like that with default settings, i don't know. Anyway, i uncheck that and voila, it work...no pop up clouds or weather. 3h and 30min, from GCLP to LSZH, no pop up, everything was as it should be.But i still don't understand how AS6.5 can work fine, even with that function checked... :(

That option in FSUIPC must be checked! It has nothing to do with the fact that ASE works or not.Want to understand that is a problem with ASE and FS9? And no use making all these attempts?

dallyborr,Not sure what that option does, but on my install and default options it has always been unchecked and in the free FSUIPC version that option is not even included. And we all know that only the free version is needed for ASE. I am glad things are working for you!Steve,Good going!

"Clear weather stops dynamics: [FS2004 only] FSUIPC provides a “clear weather” hotkey facility, and a button on theAbout page, and also clears weather when requested by AWI (Advanced Weather Interface) weather programs, orautomatically for external programs using the FS98-style weather interface. This action is normally needed beforeexternal programs try to impose any weather on FS, otherwise things get into a tangle and you don’t get the right results. However, in FS2004 there’s also a facility for having the weather dynamically changing of its own accord. This can bequite nice, but again it means you don’t get what you expect. This option, when enabled (as it is by default) makes thementioned “clear weather” actions also reset the weather dynamics to “no change”. This is not a permanent change—next time you load up FS the slider will be back where you previously had it set."

Hi,Did you realize that since ASv6.5 every one of our weather programs sends the same command to clear the weather in FS?The FS changes it makes are over-ridden by external weather programs also. How does the free version of FSUIPC, which does not contain this option, work with weather programs?

OK, I tested and I admit that ASE works better. Now, as is checked by default, you must write in the ASE manual that, with FS9, FSUIPC must be registered and that this option should be unchecked. Thanks dallyborr

I made the rebuttal:I removed FSUIPC key, click the buttons default and all weather off: disaster.I put the key in FSUIPC, click the buttons default and all weather off. That option is checked again: disaster.I put the option unchecked: it works.
