Actually, both Avionics Master switches must be turned off prior to any engine start or shutdown. This is to avoid damage from voltage spikes. So it's better to use the normal shutdown procedure and simply turn the Avionics Master switches back on yourself once you've given the "Connect GPU" signal to the ramp agent.Secondly, it's far more common to shutdown the left engine first (during taxi), that way the door can be opened sooner, valet bags delivered sooner, and pax deplaned sooner. Sitting around at the gate with the left engine running, waiting for the right engine to spool down and get the GPU in place would cause unnecessary delays. And since the Avionics have to be off anyway, there's no benefit...

Good point. I won't change the current flow actions.
