maam update install problem

Featured Replies

My DC3/RD4 package is installed in C/programfiles(X86) microsoft games/Flightsimulator X/sim objects/Airplanes. When I direct the installation of the updates I get the message that the original package is not there. The installer refuses to work.I know it can be done because one or two of the planes are working with transparent glass. I'm trying to get the rest to work as well. I did a complete reinstall from the CD.Any suggestions.

I'll try to figure this out for you. Which specific updates are we talking about?

Greetings-Same problem with BT. I've owned the CD since the day MAAM introduced it, left it at my office while upgrading to Windows 7-32, and couldn't go a day without it...deserved to be purchased again. (Suffice it that I know how to install it....many years of flying it...FS2002, 9, and X). I bought the download last night and re-installed it with the new & clean FSX re-install (plus SP1&2).It will not appear in the available aircraft, nor in the manufacturer menu.I installed all updates in sequence, the glass fix, everything (plus my CAF unit's repaint). All in the correct folders. I re-installed it with Addit! Pro...nada.Definitely not MAAM's fault.....but any help is greatly appreciated.

I deleted all BT files from the FSX /Sim Objects file, the Users/...file, re-installed from the extracted .exe (as opposed to the "Run" option when first extracting the .zip) and repeated all updates accordingly...ditto the Devil Dog repaint and oil-drip (which, by the way, shows how uber-attentive MAAM's developers are to B25 detail..heh).Re-installed FSUIPC4 beforehand, just in case....at a loss for possible conflict-causes...Nada. Re-installed via Addit! Pro....nada.Checked every file and folder I could possibly think of, and all seems to be in place as it should be.I'm stalled. Just an FYI, trying to cover the bases. I fervently hope a fix will emerge somehow.Godpseed!

This is just a shot in the dark, but try this for an FSX installation.First, be sure to 'Run as Administator' . Extract the MAAM-SIM file to Microsoft Flight Simulator X . Then copy and paste the aircraft files found in Microsoft Flight Simulator X to Sim Objects/Airplane. Similarly, copy and paste the gauge files to SimObjects/Airplane/ Gauge.Good luck.
