August 9, 200322 yr I currently have a 30 Gig HDD. If I partition it say 15 Gig each, and install FS2004 in the 2nd partition by itself, will this help with FPS in FS2004? Or am just wasting my time here?Also, when FS2004 is installed, all my joystick assignments in FS2002 get wiped out? How can I keep this from happening?Is it happening because when I install FS2004, it installs DX 9 and I'm currently at DX 8. If this is the case, is their a file I can backup somewhere, which contains joystick assignments?Thanks in advance... RJ
August 9, 200322 yr I've got a copy of each(2002/2004 ) side by side in my C drive- one doesn't affect the other in any way.Dave
August 9, 200322 yr A new partition will do nothing for performance. Unless there is another reason for doing it, it's not time well-spent. I don't know what to tell you on the joystick.
