Importing controls into new Computer

I just purchased a new system and would like to import my CH yoke and pedals settings into the new system. Anybody know how to do it?Thanks Bob

In the same directory as the fsx.cfg file there is a directory called "Controls", simply copy the file called "standard.xml" from that directory to the same on your new computer and you should be good to go.

That probably will not work. Copy the file and save it as something else. Each device is assigned a GUID. The GUID on he old system will ot be the same as the new system so a straight copy of the standard.xml won't work. Let FSX create a new standard.xml and then manually cut/paste the settings from the original. Copy the settings do NOT copy the GUID or it will not work.Vic

Thanks for the suggestions. Tried just copying the file, but it didn't work. Will try the cut and paste idea this weekend. Thanks for your help.I'd forgotten what a pain it is to set up a new system. I hope it is worth it.Thanks again to both of you.Bob
