June 6, 201015 yr I just purchased a new system and would like to import my CH yoke and pedals settings into the new system. Anybody know how to do it?Thanks Bob i7-975 ext @ 4.0, Astek 120MM water cooler, ASUS P6T X58 MB, EVGA GTX 480 1.5 GB, 6GB Kingston Hyper X 1600 MHz, 2 128GB Kingston SSDs, 1 TB WD Black HD, CoolerMaster 1000W power supply, Cooler Master Storm Sniper case, TrackIR, Win 7 64 bit
June 6, 201015 yr In the same directory as the fsx.cfg file there is a directory called "Controls", simply copy the file called "standard.xml" from that directory to the same on your new computer and you should be good to go. Klas Member of AVSIM's Around the World Race Team
June 6, 201015 yr Moderator That probably will not work. Copy the file and save it as something else. Each device is assigned a GUID. The GUID on he old system will ot be the same as the new system so a straight copy of the standard.xml won't work. Let FSX create a new standard.xml and then manually cut/paste the settings from the original. Copy the settings do NOT copy the GUID or it will not work.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
June 7, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the suggestions. Tried just copying the file, but it didn't work. Will try the cut and paste idea this weekend. Thanks for your help.I'd forgotten what a pain it is to set up a new system. I hope it is worth it.Thanks again to both of you.Bob i7-975 ext @ 4.0, Astek 120MM water cooler, ASUS P6T X58 MB, EVGA GTX 480 1.5 GB, 6GB Kingston Hyper X 1600 MHz, 2 128GB Kingston SSDs, 1 TB WD Black HD, CoolerMaster 1000W power supply, Cooler Master Storm Sniper case, TrackIR, Win 7 64 bit
