  1. I installed the patch for the Baron and changed the panel config to the RXP config. I also used the RXP wizzard to install thr RXP to the Baron now the plane won't load. Has anyone been able to get the RXP WAAS 530 gauge to work yet? If you have, could you tell what steps it takes for the 530 to replace the default GPS. I have it working in the Milvis 310, but I can't remember how I did it. Thanks for your help.
  2. This is excellent scenery. I loaded up Page yesterday and was amazed at the detail of the airport. I would say it is on par of the Orbx stock airports. The surrounding area is very realistic looking even from very low altitudes. Photo real scenery usually suffers poor image quality at low altitudes and lack of autogen, but this scenery does not. The water mask is very well done and the scenery area blends seamlessly with the surrounding scenery. Scottsdale Air Park is also very well done, with custom buildings added including the terminal. I am definitely looking forward to the release of the Prescott and Sedona area.If you ever fly in Arizona I would recommend you check out this scenery. You’ll be amazed at the detail and quality of the scenery. It’s payware quality.Thank-you for your excellent work.Bob F.
  3. The plane Jose posted above looks great. Is it a tecnam and where did you get it. I've found several Tecnams, but none of them looks as good as this. I particularly like the RXP integration.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksBob F
  4. Thanks Dazz. That's probably the reason I couldn't see the changes when I tried it.Bob F
  5. Can you make changes to inspector on the fly or do you have to exit FSX and restart it to have the changes take effect? ThanksBob F
  6. Plan G works best for me. I do mostly GA flying and don't need all the capabilities of FSCommander.Bob
  7. I had exactly the same problem you are experiencing and it didn't show up right away, but about 8 months after I bought the eclipse yoke. Have you unplugged the rudder pedals and checked if you still have the twitch? If so, check the FSX controls and see if you have anything related to the rudder assigned to the yoke. If found that I did, but I can't remember which control it was. I deleted that assignment and everything has worked fine since. I can't say for certain, but I think a plane installed assigned the control, because I didn't have the problem when I first started using the yoke and I hadn't made any assignment changes. I also downloaded the CH control manager, but that didn't seem to help. Check your controls and see if you can locate the culprit. Hope it helps. Bob
  8. I am having a problem with the Flightsim Store regarding a duplicate charge on my credit card. I have used their ticket system to report the problem of the charge on my credit card for June 4th order. I have contacted them 3 times regarding the charge and I have yet to receive a reply of any kind. Has anyone else this type of problem with their support? If so, how did you resolve it? I am about to contact my credit card company and contest the charge if I don't hear from them soon. Thanks for your help. Bob
  9. I've had it since it first came out and if I'm not flying in PNW, I use it all the time. Colorado and New Mexico are outstanding. I've transferred the areas I fly in frequently to my internal hard drive and use the rest on the included hard drive. I really can't tell any difference whether I'm using the internal drive or the external drive. If you have flown RL or are very familiar with the landmarks in an area, you will love it.I highly recommend it and an very happy I bought it.
  10. I just purchased the Real Turbine and would like to add the X Gauge to it, but it only has 2 windows, so the X gauge wizard skips it because the Wizardis set at the default to insert the gauge in Window number 5. I'm a little hesitant to change the insert to window # 3 because I don't want it to add a duplicate gauge to all of the planes that have it already in window #5. Anybody know how to do this. Thanks for your help.Bob
  11. I looked on the website and can't find it. Can you provide a link. Thanks
  12. How do these two aircraft compare? I have the 310 and really enjoy flying it. If you have both, which do you like best and how do they compare?ThanksBob
  13. Thanks! I give that a try this weekend. Didn't think of using FSUIPC to change the hat location. Is there a way to turn off the lights on the front of the yoke without unplugging it from the USB port? Thanks for the help.
  14. I just bought one last week and had the same issues, but mine were with the trim wheel. I finally unplugged and rebooted without it. I also uninstalled the CH control manager. I then plugged in the yoke and Win 7 re-installed the drivers and everything has worked fine since. Now if I can just figure out how to disable the paddles and move the Hat function from the left to the right handle, I'll be happy.
  15. BruceYour old system is also very similar to my old system, but you had a better OC than I did. I find my new system much smoother and I haven't noticed a stuttering problem at all. I still have the issue of augtogen popping under certain circumstances, but I think that is just FSX. I mostly fly GA like the Eaglesoft Columbia and Cirrus with glass cockpits and the Flight1 Mustang. All are pretty processor intensive. I honestly don't fly into the big airports often, but when I have, I've had no issues. The main thing I've noticed is the increased smoothness and the greater perception of speed on take-off and landings. It took me awhile to get used to the perception of speed on landings which caused me to want to reduce the power to much or too soon and as a result bounced my way down the runway.Have fun with your new system. I'm sure enjoying mine.Bob
  16. I purchased a Cyberpower system very similar to yours about a month ago. The major differences being, is mine is a i7 975 extreme, over clocked to 4 ghz with a 30 G SSD for the operating system, a 128 SSD for FSX and a 1 Ter WD Black Caviar HD. When I received the system, they forgot to add the WD HD, but did not charge me for it. I soon found the 30 G SSD was too small for the operating system and they exchanged it for another 128G SSD. I purchased a WD Black Caviar Hd and installed it myself. I would recommend a 128 Gig SSD for FSX. I don't have all of my add-ons installed yet, but I have already used about 50 to 60 Gigs of space. Like many other people, I found a fan that was not connected.Other than those few problems, the system runs great and it runs FSX very well. I have about everything cranked to the right, except traffic at about 50% and I get 40 fps over PNW scenery, which used to bring my old system to it's knees. I haven't found any area that I fly in that gets below 25 to fps. The system runs very stable, but a little hot. But that is to be expected as I live in Phoenix, AZ.If you go ahead with your purchase, the first thing after unpacking it, is to remove the left side panel. Mine shipped with a expandable foam pack inserted into the body of the computer to keep the components stable during shipping. Carefully remove it and you are ready to start it up.This is my 3rd Cyberpower computer and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one from them.Good Luck, You will enjoy the system.
  17. I purchased this scenery package when was first made available. I like to fly into small airfields in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona and this package makes it very realistic. Many years ago I used to fly in that part of the country and with this scenery I can still pick out most of the landmarks we used to use on VFR flights. Standard scenery for Arizona and New Mexico are pretty boring, with all of the terrain looking like desert. With this scenery you see all of subtle changes in topography and the landscape really comes alive. I have a cabin in the high mountains of Colorado and I can fly over my property and actually see the red roof of the cabin.Of all my addons, I think I have used and enjoyed this one the most. You get the feeling you are actually flying over something real instead computer generated scenery. I have run the scenery from the external hard drive as well as on an internal drive. Other than loading time, I see very little difference in the two.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this scenery to anyone, particularly if you have flown over the covered states in real life. It completely changed simming for me and renewed my interest in the hobby. The price may seem a bit steep at first, but when you consider the coverage area and the external hard drive, it is one of the best values you are going to find.
  18. I like to use the Lionheart Kodiak for PNW. Easy on frames and comes with floats and wheels.
  19. I recently reinstalled ASE and XGraphics on a new computer. I had some issues with the activation codes and Jim was very helpful in helping me get it sorted out. I really appreciate your great customer service. I will remain a HFi customer for a long time. Thanks again for your help.Bob F
  20. Hi IanThanks for your advise. I think I will leave it 4.0 for the time being since it runs at about 75 C. I may push it a little further when it cools off here in Phoenix. The 480 seems to be a great card. I really haven't had a chance to play around with it yet. I'm currently running everything stock and everything seems really fast and solid. The SSD's are great. Windows and FSX loads in about 30 or 40 seconds. It's nice, but I'm not sure it is worth the $. I'm going to replace my 30 G boot drive with another 128, so I shouldn't have any space problems. If you ever decide to go the SSD route, don't even consider anything smaller than 60 G. Once I get the new drive installed, I'll turn off Hyper threading and apply some of Nick and ******* tweaks. Thanks for your help.Bob ChrisThanks for the information. Fortunately I don't have much installed. It looks like I'll probably have to re-install everything on my FSX drive. I'll just have to see what works and what doesn't.Bob
  21. Thanks for your replies. I was afraid I might have to reinstall most of them, but I was hoping for the best. Flight1 has a registry repair tool, so I might give that a try and see if it will help me save some of them.IanOur systems are very similar. Right now I have my 975 @ 4.0. Is the extra overclock worth pushing for? I live in Phoenix, AZ so heat is a factor. Also are you running with hyper threading on or off, and does it make much difference.ThanksBob
  22. I am going to have to replace my boot drive and replace it with a larger drive. I have all of my FSX files on a separate SSD drive as well as my data files on a WD Caviar Black. The only thing on my boot drive is Windows 7. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying a 30G SSD as a boot drive and it way to small to serve the purpose. I'd recommend at least 60GD.Does anyone know, if by reinstalling windows, I will have to re-install FSX and all of my add-ons.Thanks for your help.
