Payware: Fast FPS Friendly high wing?

Featured Replies

Looking for a quality high wing aircraft, payware is fine, but it should be fast, preferably above 150kts tas.I have the A2A cub - but it's too slow. I also have the RealAir Scout pack, which is what I've been flying but it's fairly slow also. Is there anything our there that is fast but has good under wing visibility?oh P.S. - essentially I'm looking for something fast to cruise the PNW region which I just got... but it needs to be able to get into the smaller strips, at least with a touch n go hehe.

That would be the Aerosoft Twin Otter then. A much-under-rated FS add-on that is fun, FPS-friendly, looks decent, has plenty of variants, and like the real thing, can land on a postage stamp if it has to.In real life, the Twotter is one of the few aircraft ever to have ceased production and then restarted production again owing to demand and the fact that nothing else could match its versatility. And now there's a new souped up version of it too, which I think was only certified very recently and which hopefully Aerosoft will consider also doing. Don't forget your ear plugs though, the Twotter is a noisy beggar.Al

Huh I forgot about that one - I actually have it but not installed!I'll have to reinstall it. If I remember correctly visibility isn't that great though from the cockpit...

It is when you have the flaps out on a 30 degree approach and the engines in reverse LOLHave you considered a chopper? Some of those are fast, and you could get in anywhere with one of those, many can fly with the doors off too.Al

I like to use the Lionheart Kodiak for PNW. Easy on frames and comes with floats and wheels.
