You need to like all scenery- place the scenery in your add in scenery folder-then add it thru the fsx scenery manager. If you want to run it off the 500 gb disk just point to it in the fsx scenery manager also.If you have any more troubles try to be specific as to where the trouble is so we can help you. July 26, 201015 yr Wow! 500GB photoreal scenery for $200 sounds like good value for money! Please look at the posting again, it's photo scenery that comes on a 500gb HD. The actual size is less than 500gb, though I can't give a specific number as I only have the western 11 states, which is approx. 155gb.How does it compare to Orbx's PNW?Apples to oranges. The two products are not of the same genre, so any comparisons cannot be accurately made. You could check the developers site to see what his product offers; http://www.sim-savvy.com/
July 26, 201015 yr Wow! 500GB photoreal scenery for $200 sounds like good value for money! How does it compare to Orbx's PNW?Maybe it's good value, at least I hope for the buyer. But Spain, Bluesky, netherlands and many others are free. around 350 Gb for free and some are very high quality...I usually do'nt install photosceneries on the same drive as FSX, but activate them from a remote drive. I'm using Addit pro but also the program named JabX will manage the addons and also it may check for missing textures.RV See U in the cloud(s) Galleries @FlyEM Flying Ideas

July 26, 201015 yr I purchased this scenery package when was first made available. I like to fly into small airfields in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona and this package makes it very realistic. Many years ago I used to fly in that part of the country and with this scenery I can still pick out most of the landmarks we used to use on VFR flights. Standard scenery for Arizona and New Mexico are pretty boring, with all of the terrain looking like desert. With this scenery you see all of subtle changes in topography and the landscape really comes alive. I have a cabin in the high mountains of Colorado and I can fly over my property and actually see the red roof of the cabin.Of all my addons, I think I have used and enjoyed this one the most. You get the feeling you are actually flying over something real instead computer generated scenery. I have run the scenery from the external hard drive as well as on an internal drive. Other than loading time, I see very little difference in the two.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this scenery to anyone, particularly if you have flown over the covered states in real life. It completely changed simming for me and renewed my interest in the hobby. The price may seem a bit steep at first, but when you consider the coverage area and the external hard drive, it is one of the best values you are going to find. i7-975 ext @ 4.0, Astek 120MM water cooler, ASUS P6T X58 MB, EVGA GTX 480 1.5 GB, 6GB Kingston Hyper X 1600 MHz, 2 128GB Kingston SSDs, 1 TB WD Black HD, CoolerMaster 1000W power supply, Cooler Master Storm Sniper case, TrackIR, Win 7 64 bit

I didn't realise you could do that before because I thought everything FSX had to go into the main FSX folder. Thanks!

I select areas with nice features and off I go to enjoy the scenery. Too cool!!! My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
July 31, 201015 yr Author Won't Pilot Shop support help you? You can always call your bank! Not ready to give up just yet. I have talked to Larry Woodly (the developer) and he has tried to help. In the process, I managed to delete something from the scenery library and had to re-install FSX. Had been successful in loading some of the states into my previous load of FSX, but can't get them to load in this one.hi,I agree 100%.When I bought it my never ending quest for scenery came to a grinding halt I bought the 2 VFR sectional atlases covering the entire US (20$ each a real bargain from flightsim pilot shop). August 1, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi Dude, its so easy to install, you dont need to put any files anywhere, simply plug in the hard drive, then in the scenery library, just click "add area" and navigate to the external drive / state you are adding and select. Job done!!I am sure Larry will help you out, i can also assist in a few days (on holiday) BTW, you should get all the rest of the states as a free upgrade as they come available. This is a great product and I happen to know that it will shortly be available in a state by state version for those who cant afford or dont want to shell out for the whole $200 at once.Cheers, Mark
August 17, 201015 yr Author Other than the misleading documentation and "help" from the hard drive manaufacturer, I take back all the negative comments on this product. Larry has busted his tail trying to help. Still, for some reason, I have been successful in loading only two states. Have no idea what I did right there, but I suspect the problem is connected with Windows 7. I have the same problem with U.S. Airfields I and II.
