  1. Thanks for the suggestions. Tried just copying the file, but it didn't work. Will try the cut and paste idea this weekend. Thanks for your help.I'd forgotten what a pain it is to set up a new system. I hope it is worth it.Thanks again to both of you.Bob
  2. I just purchased a new system and would like to import my CH yoke and pedals settings into the new system. Anybody know how to do it?Thanks Bob
  3. I wouldn't fly without FSGenesis. About 6 months ago I updated to the latest version and found that it removed the plateaus from almost all of the airports. There may still be some that have the problem, but I have not seen it on any paved strips. The price is well worth it, considering the coverage and the support is great.I use it with photo real scenery and PNW and have no issues at all.
  4. Thanks Kendall. I thought that may be the case. I tried to run the upgrade yesterday and it hung up at 44%. Fortunately, the install process gives you the option to recover your original Windows configuration. I may try it one more time, but if it hangs again, I'll stick with Vista. Thanks for your help.Bob
  5. Does anyone know if you can use system restore to revert back to Vista or is it better to use a "ghost" of your system to revert back. I've had Windows 7 for quite awhile, but I've been hesitant to install it because I have Vista working pretty well. Thanks for your help.Bob
  6. I downloaded FS Genesis Terrain V.2 this weekend and that solved the plateau problem for me. The plateaus didn't bother me much until I started using the Photo real scenery from Sim Savvy. That really brought FSX to life , but the plateaus ruined the realism for me. The scenery is for the entire Western US and I think it is outstanding and adds a lot of realism. Check it out at www.sim-savvy.com/. The colors are a little off in some areas, but Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming are right on.
  7. What addon mesh does the most effective job of removing the plateaus from airports. I currently have Extreme Landscapes, but most of the airports are elevated. I am primarily interested in the Western US.Thanks for any suggestions.
  8. Have you checked your outside view to see if your rudder is deflected? Happens to me every once and a while with CH pedals.
  9. I ordered it yesterday, so I haven't tried it yet. What I saw of Colorado and New Mexico looked really good to me.Are you running it directly from the usb harddrive? If so are you experiencing any slow down or stutters? Thanks
  10. Thanks Jim. That what I thought was happening, but just wanted a confirmation.Great program. Have had absolutely no issues with the latest update. I fly mostly in Colorado and the icing depiction make flights interesting. It seems like there are icing conditions around Aspen most of the time, even this time of year. Thanks for your help.
  11. I am using ASA with X graphics. When I enter a flight plan on the briefing page, ASA asks if I want to load a snapshot of the textures. Is this snapshot based on the weather along the route or is it based on saved snapshots?Thank-you.
  12. I have the Realair Duke with the reality XP 530 add-on gauge. I enjoy flying Waas approaches into smaller airfields, but I have not been able to get the autopilot to control the vertical aspect of the approach. The Flight 1 Mustang Waas approach controls the plane on both the vertical & horizontal approach. Since I do not not see a glide slope indicator during a Waas approach with the Duke, does this mean the auto pilot will not control the vertical aspect of the approach? ILS approaches work great in the Duke, so I know the auto pilot is capable of controlling the vertical aspect of the approach. Am I missing something? The Duke is a great plane to fly. If you are looking for a nice twin, give the Duke a try. Thanks for your help.
  13. I to have this problem occasionally. There was some discussion about this problem several months ago. There were some sugggestions on how to fix the issue, but none worked for me. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse connected to a primary USB port. The mouse never goes to sleep, but the keyboard does at least once a flight. Then it seems to come back to life for no particular reason. I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with memory. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks
  14. Thanks for the explanation, Bill. I now understand why you were not able to program the pop-up. The FSUIPC solution works fine for me.Great plane, by the way. Haven't had much of a chance to fly it yet, but have really enjoyed the couple of flights I have taken.Nice to have a Biz Jet on par with your GA aircraft. The best out there in my opinion.Thanks.
  15. Thanks for all your help. Since the popup isn't programmed in the VC of this product, I used FSUIPC to program a button on my yoke to activate the popup.I was just puzzled because, if you ran the mouse over the GPS, the pointer changed to a hand which usually indicates a hot spot for a popup. Obviously, that isn't the case with the Citation.
  16. Thanks for your help. I'm on Vista also. The work just fine in the 2D panels, just not in the VC. I can tell they are active because the mouse pointer changes, but they just don't pop up when clicked. I'll try the reinstall and see if that works.I'm just glad to hear they work and that it is just a problem I'm having.
  17. I just purchased the Citation II and the pop up for the GPS and the Cabin pressure don't seem to work. I checked the Eaglesoft forum and there are no posts that address this issue. If you have this aircraft, do you have this problem? The instrument cluster pop up works fine, so I don't think it is a driver issue. I have a GTS 8800 512M card.Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
  18. Hi JimTried moving it around but the wind smoothing box still loads right on top GraphicsX box.ThanksBob
  19. After updating Active Sky with the latest update, I notice that after I load the flight plan. Active Sky asks me if I want to install weather related graphics. I hit OK. X graphics goes through loading the weather related graphics. Immediately after that, a box pops up saying something about wind synthesis. That box stays on until ASX is turned off on exit from FSX. This would not be an issue at all, if this box didn't block the box that tells me when the X graphics has completed installing the new graphics set. Since I can't move this box, I don't know when the new graphics set has been installed and I can start FSX.Am I doing something wrong or is a way to prevent the warnings boxes from overlapping.Great program by the way. Last weekend I flew from Colorado Springs to Aspen and encountered the snow storm that was hitting the area East of Aspen. The icing conditions were severe and I wasn't sure I would be able to make it to Aspen. My manifold pressure dropped to nothing and the de-ice took a while to get me back where I had some power again. Thanks
  20. I don't have the PC 12, but I do have the Cirrus and Columbia from Eaglesoft. Both are fast and fun to fly. Another one to look at is the LionHeart Epic. http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Homepage.htmlI just bought it a couple of weeks ago and really enjoy it. Top speed is about 230kts or so and the price is right. If you like fast singles, you can't miss with any of the three.
  21. I'm having exactly the same problem. I usually fly Eaglesoft planes, regularly use Alacrity and have a wireless Logitec keyboard and mouse. I am always able to use the mouse and the alt key and Del key, but sometime lose the F- keys as well as the alpha keys. The shift+Z key always seems to work, oddly enough. Sometimes it corrects itself and sometimes I have to exit FSX to regain control. I thought it had to be something with my setup, because I hadn't heard of anyone else having the problem. It's annoying, but not a showstopper for me.If anyone has come up with a solution, I would sure like to hear about it.Thanks
  22. I downloaded it the first weekend it was released. Flew it several times and had no problems at all. This weekend, I tried to load it three times and each time FSX crashed to the desktop. Absolutely nothing has changed on my computer, except there have been a couple of Vista updates. I wonder if those of us having problems are using automatic updates and those not having problems have not installed the recent Vista updates. That is the only reason I can think of that would explain why it worked perfectly for awhile then suddenly crashes every time you try to load it.It's a great plane. Hope they can get it fixed soon.
