Order issue (title edited, issue resolved -RM)

Okay, I just purchased as far as I am concerned the 747 for FSX, now I have paid and downloaded it, it turns out to be the "747 Queen of the Sky's" for FS9 so I have lost my money. Now, if that was my fault there is obviously not much that can be done about it HOWEVER, I now go back and look at the process again and I click on the 747 FSX version, click add to cart and go to checkout and it says my cart contains the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies (1861-32)........................what on earth is all that about, I have done the process about 5 times, please could other people also try this out. Right now I am feeling pretty angry and don't know what to do. I have just lost 55$ in a matter of seconds and I am not certain anymore that it was my error.Tom CollingwoodIt's once you reach the checkout stage that it lists the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies (1861-32) the cart contains what it claims to be the 747-400X for FSX

Tom,I just tried an order here and it shows the 400X in the cart correctly after proceeding to checkout. It has to be something with your browser doing it. We would have hundreds of these reports here right now if this was a real issue. People have bought the 400X just fine as recently as the last few minutes.Freaking out on our forum is not going to help anything. You're jumping to conclusions about having lost money and so on, and that just isn't true.Do me a favor and submit a support ticket on the issue here: http://support.precisionmanuals.com so that we can track the order and we'll look at it later today when everyone involved with billing is awake.

Hi Ryan,Thank you for the reply, excuse me freaking out, I was going mad. I thought it was really strange as it kept happening (and still is). You are correct, I have just installed Google Chrome and the problem no longre exists, before I was using an up-todate version of IE8 and the problem remains.I have issued a ticket, do you know what is likely to happen in this situation? I don't know who is to blame, me? microsoft? CSS, HTML? very frustrating. apologies for the rant.Tom Collingwood

Tom,I need to talk to someone else here later today, I don't handle billing support.
Thanks, much appreciated. I updated the ticket over the browser matter. I have also cleaned out and re-installed IE8 and the problem has now gone, seems to me that microsoft is to blame for this one.Cheers,Tom Collingwood

Next time, try deleting your cache before a reinstall. The handful of people who have had shopping cart problems have found that to be a good solution. Sorry about the inconvenience. You should be getting a reply from our billing guru shortly.

Thanks a lot Ryan, Vin, and everyone else on the team, and thanks for removing the title of the topic, I was starting to feel rather bad about it.......looked kinda ugly. I make my living as a pro musician too Ryan so $55 is like a years salary :( I shall be buying the upgrade though and can't wait for the 737.Due to the nature of online purchasing/downloading I thought at first there would be no chance of getting this resolved so thanks again and excuse my flip.Cheers,Tom Collingwood

There's a bug in IE that I've suffered myself in the past. It ignores the no-chache pragmas in the header unless another header with the metas is placed at the end. Here's the link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/222064/en-us
Thanks a lot for that, I'll pass it along to Jason.

IE is a joke. Everyone should switch to Firefox, Chrome or Opera.EDIT: just in case it helps, this is what I use, both in the top and the bottom headers:<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache"/><meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-store"/><META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="-1"/>Not sure if they are all necessary, but it was driving me nuts and when this worked I simply didn't touch it anymore.Pressing ctrl+F5 forces the page reload direct from the server bypassing the browser's cache, so it's an alternative to deleting the cache via Tools -> Options
