June 10, 201015 yr I have observed the following several times:When autopilot is in approach mode, altitude hold mode is off, and ILS is captured, the J41 descends slowly although it is already below glideslope. Only if the autopilot is in altitude hold mode before the ILS is captured, the glide path is correctly followed. Is this as it should be?Michael Michael Thesen MSFS, HP Reverb G2, Gigabyte B760 32Gb, Samsung 970 EVO, Geforce RTX 4070-TI, Win11, i7-14700KF, Thrustmaster T16000M, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
June 11, 201015 yr I would like to know this as well. If the approach mode is selected during a descent, it overrides the previously set altitude selection. You must then reselect the altitude select mode for the autopilot to capture and hold it at altitude. As Michael said, is this the way the real one works? Curt Branch
