Recent Issue that has just started happening

Featured Replies

HiExcellent piece of software this! very pleased and look forward to buying future versions. But the last couple of times I have tried to use RC when I select the flight plan I have saved it has started moving my aircraft from the gate stated in the FP to a random point somewhere on the airfield, I am guessing the GPS coordinates of an airport as it seems to be in the middle of a runway. It also places me about 15ft below the ground level, I have tried rebuilding the scenery database to no avail, so I am now going to try uninstall and reinstall of RC.I was wondering if this was a known issue and if anything is likely to have caused a problem. My most recent addon was the Aerosoft A300 but I have used this at least 5 times before this started happening. I have only been attempting to use the Flight1 ATR when these problems started, but again I have flown many times with the ATR and not experienced any problems until now. Thanks for reading, if this issue is unknown and should it happen again I shall send a log in to you.Jan

have you added scenery, and not rebuilt the rc scenery database?rc only moves the plane at startup, if it is more than 5 miles from the departure airport.make sure the plane is at the departure airport, before you start rcjd

First, make sure your plan and the scenery you have chosen match. We occasionally get a case where a flight plan with a different origination than the loaded scenery was used.Second check for multiple afcad type files. You can check on the scenery folder that provided data to RC. When you ran the scenery rebuild a text file was created or modified in your FS folder called runways.txt. It is very large and can take quite a bity of time to load in wordpad or notepad. Search for the ICAO code in that file. First will come the default FS scenery sections (if it is in FS default scenery) followed by other sections for add-ons, typically two sections for an add-on. The last section instance provides the RC data. The beginning of the section shows the path to the scenery used.Be sure you are using Makerwys.exe version 4.41 or better from the posted links in the top of this forum as it resolves a priority issue for certain sceneries. Here is an partial extract of a typical add-on scenery in the last instance in which I highlighted the lines for the scenery path:Area.157 "Sevilla2005_SC" (Layer=159)Local=aerosoft\Spanish Airports 2\Sevilla2005_SC=============================================================================aerosoft\Spanish Airports 2\Sevilla2005_SC\scenery\AF2_LEZL.bgl <<<<<<<<<<file location=============================================================================Deletions check for Airport LEZL: Delete all taxiways!
