June 15, 201015 yr Hey guys, don't know if its ok to ask this question here but I thought I'd give it a try. I know several people on this forum use FS Build and I have a problem and the FS Build Forum is dead. Ok so here we go. I have a laptop that I use to run Charts, Active Sky and FS Build. The laptop is used as a Client, so I have ASE, FS Build, Plan-G ect running over it. Everything works like a charm, the network is up and running and it works perfectly. Now I havn't been able to run Radar Contact on my Client PC...seems to me there would be no reason to because i dont really use the RC4 Windows interface while Flying. That being said RC4 is on my Sever (FSX) PC. I use FS BUILD to generate my flight planes and I need to export them over to my FSX (Sever) PC. I have had no problems in the past when it was all installed on one computer but now for the life of me I cannot figure out how to Export a FSX flight plan. I can't even figure out how to put it on my Client desktop...nothing. So I have been grounded for a couple days, so help would be greatly appreciated.Ron Hamilton

Isn't this the same question the developer of FSBuild already answered for you when you posted in the FSX forums and you subsequently never even thanked him for taking the time...http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=287612&hl=-Paul Sollk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
June 15, 201015 yr The FS Build Forum is alive here:http://www.fsbuild.com/forum/viewforum.php...5eaf0da83db365dThe Radar Contact forum is here:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showforum=135Look at this pinned topic for RC:FSUIPC, WIDEFS, SHOWTEXT settings for RC 4.3and make sure you have the 4.3 manual regarding network settings. If you check out the RC forum you will find some threads where ASE users have a problem in a network environment due to the heavy network resources it uses often causing time-out indications from FSUIPC to RC even if RC resides on the host. A consensus is for AES to turn off DWC and let FSUIPC iron out the wind bumps. This can reduce the the resource load AES places on the CPU and networking. Just search for AES in the RC forum.Regarding FSB it is meant as a preflight planner without FS running. It will get its weather info from as running AES after you load the AES weather. You need a path for both in the FSB setup and besure to switch tasbs and save its configuration. If you are running VISTA or Win 7 for default installations both FSB and RC (and AES) you can create a shortcut to them and most important have the shortcut properties set to run each program as an administrator so they hasve permission to wriite to the various client and host folders.
