June 22, 201015 yr You will suss it out, and it sounds like you are doing just that, so well done. Just think about when you learned to ride a bike or drive a car. at first you are concentrating like mad, but after a while, you can do it without even thinking about it.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
June 22, 201015 yr Slowly beginning to get somewhere with the circuit round and round Woodford. I am able to climb out and make turns for the crosswind, downwind and base legs, but keep missing the tirn for final and end up having to come back onto the correct heading. This often means I am too high and fast, although I do manage to get the plane down more or less on the runway, it is very bumpy etc. I am just confused as to know when to make the turn onto final. Also, when climbing out I tend to climb very fast, despite a low angle of ascent. Does this mean I have the throttle too far out for the initial take off roll ?Slowly getting the hang of things, but most of all I am enjoying it !!ThanksMAtt
June 22, 201015 yr If you're interested, Track IR would help with the pattern work, it allows you to see into the turn much more naturally than with a HAT switch. It helps me judge patterns a lot better. It is also one of the best FS investments you can make.http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/ | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
June 23, 201015 yr You have to imagine a point in space where you want to be, and turn for that imaginary point as you descend. This is roughly how you should be picturing it on a left-hand circuit:Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
