FS9 Export Limitations?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there are any exports limitations on FS9? I've tried to order from a vendor which I have ordered many things before, but it wouldn't sell me FS9, saying it couldn't ship to my address. I'm in the US military stationed in Europe. Any ideas?Dave Vega

Hi Dave... I am not export in all this.. just noted that on the certificate of authenticity MS put the statement quote " for distribution in USA / CANADA only " unquote... that may explain why they are refusing to sell outside this area. However here is a mail-in rebate coupon inside the box that states that this coupon is valid " in the 50 states, the district of Colombia, all military bases that contain valid APO / FPO addresses and Canada... " maybe if your base has such an address you may be able to convice your vendor..b rgds Dick

They only sold cheap remaindered copied of FS95 in the UK as I never saw cheap copies of FS98 sold here. You need to order from a European distributer as there is a special premium price anyone outside the CONUS has to pay. There are several legal alternatives. Ask a friend/relative etc. to buy it in the US or Canada, send him/her the payment and have him send it to you as there is nothing to stop them selling it second hand. The less legal ways are .... please do your research in another board as it is not appropriate here.Ian

Thank you all for your replies. Ian, this is the MS FS General forum. The topic deals with FS. But thanks for your reply too.Dave Vega
