Autopilot disconnect?

Recommended Posts

Hi,I'm enjoying the JS4100 a lot, but have some problems with the autopilot. There are two types of problems:The first is that the autopilot very often starts oscillating. For instance when I have to descent (I choose IAS and throttle down a bit), the plane starts to descent, but then the VS starts to decrease, it may even climb a little, and then it starts to descend again. This is very irritating because RadarControl's controller really do not like it when I do not descent when asked to :)The other problem is that the autopilot often wants to disconnect right after I turn it on. The other day I was in a steady climb with IAS and Alt select on, the plane could fly itself while climbing, I didnt have to hold the rudder, but whenever I clicked the AP on, it disconnected itself at once. What am I doing wrong? Apart from these problems (and the problems with the screen artifacts) the plane works like a dream.Helge

Hi,Sounds like something is upsetting it - I've found it to be very stable here.Check your controllers aren't for some reason overriding the autopilot inputs (press Ctrl+J in the sim to disable joystick).Best regards,Robin.
