Alphasim C-5 VC Window Blued Out!

Featured Replies

Hi,I was checking out the C-5 Galaxy I got from Alphasim. When flown in good weather, everything worked great. But when flown in stormy weather themes, the VC windows were blued out and I couldn't see anything outside. For a moment before that happened (each time I spawn in stormy weather), the cockpit works fine but flickers black and then blues out. Can anyone help???Thanks!

The only thing I think might be causing the problem is your system is having a problem rendering. This can happen when your system is overstressed and you are using a lot of memory. Turning on stormy weather can create problems on older systems (like mine). The more modern systems might be able to handle it but I think they can be stressed too. If you have no issues with weather set at normal or the default, then that probably is the problem.Best regards,Jim

HelloThis is what happens when you put a FS9 model into FSX and it rainsThere is a fix on the Flight1 website.Virtual Cockpit Rain fix for FSX (1.1MB) - If you have FSX SP2 or Acceleration installed, you may have solid windows when in the virtual cockpit when it is raining with many addon aircraft. This update repairs FSX so that you can have transparent windows again.http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library

Thanks! But I restarted FSX and it didn't work. Should I restart my PC or do anything else?

I am having this problem too. Since the AlphSim C-5 is probably still the best C-5 model for fsx, more particularly since the availability of Christoffer Petersons's TF-39 sound package (very good!) from Turbine Sound Studios, I am wondering if anyone has found a fix for it. Incidentally, the Microsoft fix of replacing fsx VC textures with fs9 VC textures for rain does not work, it leaves the VC windows black!
