Using CH yoke mixture axis to control condition levers

Featured Replies

I've just started to learn the J4100 and as the topic suggests I would like if possible to use the mixture axis on my CH yoke to control the condition levers the same way I use the throttle axis to control the power levers. I've made a couple of attempts but still no joy, anyone else with a CH yoke managed to do this?TIA,

The condition levers in J41 are moved by the "propeller" axis in FSX. If you manage to assign it to you CH yoke you should be able to get the required result.Keep attention with assigning the axis in FSX. In my experience with the Saitek yoke I had similar problem as yours because:1. the dead zone and sensitivity were not properly adjusted and 2. there is a small window in the controls menu stating which controller is selected at the moment. In my case I was assigning axis by mistake to the wrong controller (I have the yoke, additional throttle quadrant and Saitek X52).Hope this helps

I've now succesfully assigned the mixture lever on my CH yoke to the prop axis in FSX like you suggested and it seems to be working just fine, thanks again for your input!

Well somebody showed the answer already, I use the Propeller (was the default) lever mapped to the Condition axis and I didn't have to change the sensitivity or null zone either (had to for the two power levers on the SAITEK TQ).So, a fellow VPA with the same bird! Jim H. was kind enough to provide me with an excellent repaint of Air Panama, maybe he can do the Virtual Pilots repaint too. I wonder how many VPA's are using the J41, I am still to take it to my inaugural flight (very soon).Emilio Grimaldo
