June 22, 201015 yr Hey GuysDuring a flight I got an orange C on the upper right hand side of the EADI and a HDG in orange writing on the EHSI.I have looking in the manual for answers and have not being able to find them. I think it means that the EHSI is not salving with the compass.Chris Finlay
June 22, 201015 yr Sure it's in the book, check Ch 8.11 EFIS pg 20. The amber C on the EADI is the comparison alarm and the parameter that is in error is displayed on the EHSI. It's not a slave failure but heading values do not compare cross side for some reason. Dan Downs KCRP
June 22, 201015 yr Author heyyea I noticed that the magnetic compass was not the same HDG on the EHSI. Any idea of how it could be fixed ?Chris Finlay
June 23, 201015 yr Any idea of how it could be fixed ?Turn off the Vapor Cycle Cooling System on the FO's side panel. The operation of this system affects the flux valve, causing the two heading systems to diverge and a Heading Comparator error results.
June 23, 201015 yr Ah yes! I had forgot about that; in fact I believe it is placarded not for use in flight. Good catch Nick. Dan Downs KCRP
