Hi Iain As you can see it as a circling approach to that runway. Since there is no DME there no way get a desecnt profile over the obstacle, as you descend as fast as possible to the approach minimum and hope to get visual. So they will move the inbound course to clear the obstacles makeing it a circling approach. The approach is a CAT A and B. 737 is CAT C and Single Engine Circling its CAT D Regards Chris Finlay

HeyI have a similar problem when hand flying using the FD if you select a heading on the mcp and follow the FD you will always turn through the heading you have selected. But if you roll the aircraft early the FD will follow your early roll out onto the heading.Any ideas ??Chris Finlay

Hey guysI have been trying to put in a support ticket but it doesnt seem to be working, hence posting this here.I have been having problems with the terrain display in the NGX I have been geting a solid green display, a pink display and then tonight i had the terrain not match what was outside. the flight tonight was PHNL-NFFN. Hi guysWhen I try to refuel using the FMS in FSM mode after starting (3,1, 2 ) after starting 2 I get a caution on the fuel page saying CG DISAG but i havent change any weights since preflight. But if i put the same fuel load using the fuel in the pmdg options I dont get this message.Any thoughtsThanksChris Finlay

The md-11 has feature when after egine start and all systems have been switched over to the engines by the apu, you switch the apu air bleed off which starts an automatic apu shut down. On the apu section on the OH panel the off light is on and the apu should shut down.chris finlay

heybefore i shut the engines down i press the APU button in the electrics section then switch the APU bleed on. then shut the engines downs and then set the plane up, after starting the engines i press the apu bleed and then wait and it doesnt shut off. I end up having to press the APU off on the apu panelChris Finlay

hi another problem/ bug i have found for the patch is the if u turn the APU on using the electrics panel then once the engines are running and to turn the APU off you should only need to turn off the bleed and it should turn off. Chris Finlay

Hey guys Doing some reading from the manual and did an inflight shut down which went good.When trying to restart in the air I tried having the condition leavers in taxi and flight positions and the engine did not restart. I had to manually unfeather then it restarted.Have you guys simulated the automatic unfeathering during an airstart ???Thanks Chris Finlay

Hey GuysDuring a flight I got an orange C on the upper right hand side of the EADI and a HDG in orange writing on the EHSI.I have looking in the manual for answers and have not being able to find them. I think it means that the EHSI is not salving with the compass.Chris Finlay

HiOn two flights that i have made in the MD-11 all the screens and the switches on all the panels freeze but the aircraft keeps flying. The screens and panels do not unfreeze if you leave then for a while. I think the problem comes about when i cycle the views from the cockpit to external etc.I have look and I am unable to find any anti virus software running in the back ground. I also have the newest version of the MD-11Any ideas?Chris Finlay

I have the same problem. if you dont push the red button down before the start switch is pushed the red button will not move. If you push the red button before the start button is pushed then the condition lever only goes to the maximum positionChris Finlay

Hi today i took my js41 for a 4 sector trip around new zealand (NZPM-NZNS-NZCH-NZQN-NZCH) on the first sector it was raining at both airports (NZPM-NZNS) the water effects from the engines worked fine. but on the ground in NZCH (no rain) they were still there and in the air on the NZCH-NZQN-NZCH sectors they were there also is this a known problem?? Is there a way to turn the effects off ??Chris Finlay
