April 24, 201313 yr In light of the positive reviews on the Q400, do you folks think that this hobby will do well with an ATR 42/72-600? Even better if PMDG created it? PMDG has a reputation of creating some of the best add-ons out there but what do you folks think? Note: Please keep this about Turbo Props Marlon Carter - AVSIM Reviewer
April 25, 201313 yr Flight1 would probably be the people to do this, having already made a decent job of the ATR72-500. I think that PMDG probably have enough on their plate with the 777, DC-6 and 747. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
May 1, 201313 yr I think a PMDG ATR 72 would be perfect !!! Amazing aircraft and an amazing company !!!!! Id say there is a good market out there for it. Thanks Chris Finlay
May 1, 201313 yr I think Flight1 should pick up the slack and produce a -600 series., They did a 'almost' perfect job with the 72-500. I fly it all the time. Give it some modern textures. Make it less buggy and you're there!

May 1, 201313 yr Author No plans to do any complex glass turboprops besides the J41, sorry. Hi Ryan, You can correct me if I am wrong but I remember reading that in between major developments, PMDG will consider other aircrafts that do not require a lengthy development time or in-depth simulation on par with projects like the NGX, 777 or 747 2.0. The Dash 8 seemed to have posed a problem since it has an FMS. However, have you folks considered that you can perhaps develop the Dash 8 100/300 which had an all analog cockpit and did not come with an FMS? Some were simply outfitted with a GPS as were other models that had electronic instrument but no FMS. 100 http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=179135&nseq=0 300 http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=178947&nseq=1 http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=178928&nseq=2 W/EFIS Marlon Carter - AVSIM Reviewer
May 2, 201313 yr Commercial Member We announced a classic Dash 8 (not Q400) a while back but it's on hold currently until we finish the 777 and 744v2. We'll evaluate the market then and see if it still makes sense to do it. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
