Runtime error 5

Featured Replies

I've been getting runtime errors during my flights, usually about 15 minutes into the flight, sometimes earlier. I'm using fs2004 and active sky and the latest RC on Windows 7 64 bit. All are run in admin mode. Any suggestions about how to trouble shoot this would be most welcome.

See the pinned topic regarding error 75 and security applications. Just a thought on this. It has to do with the frequency of application writes causing the heuristic methods of security programs thinking RC is a virus. RC must be set as a trusted application in security applications.Other causes are resource demands (are you using ASE with DWC on) for CPU time and ram issues.Be sure you are using the current FSUIPC from the link posted at the forum top section.Try running with just FS and RC to see if your error goes away. Also test with a default aircraft. The code means "invalid procedure call".

I sent a log file to JD, and it turned out that the problem was I was missing a bunch of files from the winwood folder. Reinstalling fixed it. I think I must have screwed up when I installed Meatwater's voice set. I didn't recognize the problem because everything was working fine for some time until I tried flying in a new location, and then the missing files bit me.
