Saitek Cyborg X Issues

Featured Replies

I have had my saitek Cyborg X for some time now (around a year and a half) and now some issues have sprung up when I use it.The main one is the fact that when you push the elevators (in my game) down the rudder goes full to the right. This is not a problem with the game as when playing with the keyboard it works fine, this leaves me to believe it could be either a physical problem or the wrong drivers as when I go onto the calibration screen it shows me that it calibrated fine but the same thing happens again.Any ideas-Matty

Sorry I can't help you as I only just bought the Cyborg X yesterday...it's my first ever joystick and so far I'think it's great...it's taking some getting used to though after just using a generic game controller. The worrying thing now is that yours is the 2nd post I've read that talks about this rudder problem pulling to the right. I guess that's something I've got to look forward to in the future too....sounds like a design flaw! I wonder how many other people have had the same problem!**Edit**Just thought....if you use the auto-rudder setting, does that stop it from happening because it will take away the rudder control from the joystick?

Interesting. I've a similar problem with erratic rudder swings to the right, particularly when landing. Weather doesn't seem to be an issue, nor does the number/nature of running background processes. The Winxp calibration tool does occasionally show sporadic random rudder movements, so I think its the joystick and am considering returning it under warranty. Shame as otherwise I like the Cyborg.Gerard

Sorry for bringing again this old topic, but has anybody solved this? I also have a Cyborg X, and I'm getting uncommanded full right rudder inputs, no matter if it's during taxi, takeoff, cruise or landing. Although I purchased the joystick in Amazon USA, I'm in Colombia; returning it under warranty looks like is not an option for me.Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel

Sorry for reviving a year-old post, but I finally solved my problem: I had to re-solder the wiring to the rudder potentiometer and cover it with glue-gun silicone so that it won't break loose again. Hope this helps. Best regards from ColombiaLuis Miguel
