August 12, 200322 yr What does this file really do. Out of curiosity I made mine inactive by changing the cfg to bak...rebooted FS2004 and there was no problem or change in anything. In fact, when I checked the folder, I saw no recreated display.cfg file as is the case when fs2004.cfg is deleted. Thanks...Sherm
August 12, 200322 yr Author Sherm - That file has some minimal information about the video cards and minimum driver levels. Whenever FS2004 disables the hardware accereration or says your drivers aren't up to-date it does so based primarily on the information in the display.cfg file.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
