Changing departure runway assignment

Featured Replies

Hi to all again... how do I change departure runway assignments for AI traffic?I'm using the FS9 RPLL (Ninoy Aquino Intl' Airport) scenery, damn planes taking off and landing at RWY 31, while the real one have its departure/arrival runway at RWY 13...I have no problems with RWY 06/24 on this scenery though...I know its an AFCAD issue... I just don't know how to reassign departures/arrivals to RWY 13...thanks...

I do not believe this is an afcad issue - but rather a wind direction setting.Try setting up your weather so the wind is approx 115 degrees. Light winds are fine.It works for me.

I'll try that option sir, thanks! But I asked my other colleagues and they said it was indeed an AFCAD issue... my current wind setup is winds calm, and it makes the default departure runway to be 31, while in actual, it should be 13... although RWY 31 is sometimes used for departures, but it is done very rarely (often because of a significant wind shift, otherwise, for light breezes, even if it's a tailwind, 13 is still being used...)... RWY 06/24 is out of the question because it is just fine...Thanks again for the suggestion sir!

In AFCAD make sure that runway 13 is listed last in List/Runways. Also, make sure the BASE end of the runway is 13, not 31. Worth a try...
I opened it up, and it was already listed last in List/Runways and it is designated as the base end...but the default departure is still at 31...

Don't know if this applies here, but if a runway has an ILS approach (and the other end doesn't), then that end will be the preferred end in calm winds.Hope this helps,

Unfortunately sir, this one doesn't have ILS... because it crosses another runway which has one...
