July 6, 201015 yr Can anyone point me to some website(s) that will tell me exactly what gate real world flights are assigned in parts of the world not served by FlightAware.com? I don't mean real world flight plans, I just mean where to park before and after a simulated commercial flight in FS9.For instance, last night I flew a flight for Austrian Airways (No. 72) from CYYZ to LOWW, and after 45 minutes of Googling and reading I was unable to definitively determine which gate the airline uses at LOWW. I found the terminal assignment and I could see that the Austrian Air check-in desk was near the 'D' Gates, but no actual gate assignment for my particular flight that would allow me to recreate it realistically "gate to gate". FlightAware.com is great for flights originating out of or into the US and other parts of North America, but I love to fly in Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, South America, and occasionally to Australia and I have trouble finding gate assignments. Are gate assignments held more quietly than they are in the US, perhaps for anti-terrorism reasons or something? Thanks in advance for ANY help . . . ANY where. :( Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. July 6, 201015 yr A couple tricks I use to get the gate #.1. The airports website. Most major airports will have an arrivals/departures board on their site with gate #'s2. The airline website. I know some airlines will send e-mails about departure/arrivals with gate numbers. I flew an American flight from ORD to LGA last night and got 4 e-mails during the flight because the arrival gate kept changing. There are probably some other resources out there, but those 2 work for me.

July 7, 201015 yr Author Airport flight information in the airport's web page? Departures are usually more useful than arrivals.Best regards from Colombia,Luis MiguelThat's been a real "hit or miss" proposition for me -- with more "misses" than hits, meaning it doesn't usually have the info if a plane has landed for more than 2 or 3 hours or is not due for a while -- Flightaware keeps that info on the site for quite a while. That's why I was wondering if Non-US carriers tend to leave that info off the web for security/non-terrorism reasons.Any other suggestions from anyone? Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. July 7, 201015 yr Here's a website I use sometimes. Ues the Travel Tools to search by Airport. You can also refine the search by airline (both arrival and Departure) and they will usually give you a gate number. http://www.flightstats.com/go/Home/home.do Bill
