If it is a standard SATA there is no reason it can't be used in a desktop. I have another SSD laptop drive I currently use in an external enclosure... I don't think that is an issue at all so I pose the original question of whether or not this technology would benefit FS...-P

I don't know.... never seen something preform well that claims to do two things great... hopefully this will be different. Speaking of hard drives - I just recently beat the living poop out of my wife's - it had a good 7 year run lol!!!
