July 9, 201015 yr How does ATC determine which aircraft takeoff first?I created a new taxiway with obviously a holding point node inserted at the holding point position of the runway (rwy03). Opposite is another holding point for aircraft taxying from the other side of the airport, an original.Yet any aircraft departing from the taxiway and holding point that i created wait for all the aircraft from the opposite side to depart before they can depart, which includes the aircraft that i fly, no matter whether they have got their first or not.At the opposite end of the runway (rwy21), the opposite opposing holding points which are originals, aircraft depart based on the sequence that they arrived at the holding point, as it should be.I thought it might have been the fact that my holding point node was further away than the opposite opposing holding point node, but alas at the rwy21 end one holding point node is further away than the other, so it cant be that.Did all that blah blah above make sense?Any ideas?Andy
July 9, 201015 yr You might want to ask in the Scenery Design Forum here.I'm guessing but is the order of the ident in sequence with other taxiway legs on the opposing side of the runway? Is X1 across from Y1 (if the same number of taxiways on opposing sides of the runway can access it)? Just shooting the dark but so many items have to do with the order of lists. See where yours falls in AFCAD's list of Taxi Idents.
