July 9, 201015 yr Hi Guys, when using Traffic 2005 Traffic Explorer there is an annoying default sound every time I click on an aircraft to view. I'm sure I've read somewhere that this can be disabled but after numerous searches I can't find it anywhere! Can anyone please help? Thanks in Advance.

Can anyone please help? Thanks in Advance.Try this:Disable the file named btnstdc.wav which is in your Flight Simulator 9 / Uires folder. That "should" stop the clicking sound heard whenever you click on a FS menu item. This info is from Tips and Tricks for FS2004, Issue number 25.
July 9, 201015 yr Dave, thank you! That sound's been getting on my wick for over a year. I never even considered there might be a way of disabling it. I might try replacing it with something more appropriate- lots of sounds come to mind...I'll have to look through the rest of your T&Ts to see what other gems I've missed.Regards,D
July 9, 201015 yr David, I didn't see the specific file you were talking about but I did see a wav file named "click". Could this be the one you were talking about? Bill

Could this be the one you were talking about?Nope - On my FS2004 setup I do have the file named btnstdc.wav in my Uries folder.Try sorting (arranging Icons by "type") on the View menu - that should make it easier to spot.

I disabled said file but the sound still persists. Don't know too much regarding files and locations etc but as this is a Traffic 2005 application would the file not be within my Traffic 2005 folder within Fs2004?CheersKeith.
