July 9, 201015 yr I downloaded the most recent CH software which does allow to "swap" the POV to the right hat switch. However, FSX settings for the Eclipse yoke to select "View Pan" only recognizes the LEFT hat switch?Anyone been able to use the RIGHT hat switch for POV instead of the left one on the CH Eclipse Yoke?If so, please help. My old CH Yoke only had a hat switch on the right side. I'm too used to it being on the right. However the new Eclipse yoke has hat switches on both sides w/default for POV on the left.
July 15, 201015 yr Hi gaosys,If you've swapped the hats, then the non-POV hat is just buttons. What are the assignments to the buttons on the non-POV hat?Best regards,- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stichwork
July 19, 201015 yr Author Hi gaosys,If you've swapped the hats, then the non-POV hat is just buttons. What are the assignments to the buttons on the non-POV hat?Best regards,- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stichwork TRYING TO FIX IT TO THE RIGHT HAT:Thanks for your reply..................In CH Manager, the settings DO get reversed as to the buttons & the multiple "views",ie. 4 positions for the non-pov, 8 positions for the pov. When I swapped the POV to the right hat, I did not select any settings for the left hat (they are defaulted to, I think, switches 11, 12, 13, & 14). When I was using them on the right hat, I had not assigned the switches to anything there either.Anyway, here's what I have tried................... I downloaded & ran the new version of the CH software, V.4.51.I selected the "swap pov to right hat switch".I verified that the "map" did get updated, I "downloaded" the MAP.However, when I started up FSX and went to the settings for the Eclipse Yoke controller in FSX, which still had the "View Pan" set up for the POV hat, it still only worked with the LEFT hat switch.I tried removing the setting in FSX, shut down FSX, then re-booted the computer.I ran the CH manager again, and now the "Eclipse POV on right" was UNCHECKED.Anyway, re-checked it, saved the setting, started up FSX, went to the controller settings in FSX, went to the "View Pan" setting, selected to create the assignment. However, FSX did not recognize the right hat when I "moved the RIGHT hat". I moved the LEFT hat and it accepted that assignment. I did not see any method to define the "Right hat switch".When I shut down FSX and ran the CH Manager the "move pov to right hat" the setting had been unchecked, apparently something is screwed up w/FSX.Anyway, here's the problem in a nutshell:1. Remove the "view pan" settings in FSX for the CH Eclipse2. Set the "swap POV" in CH Manager, save map, download map3. Startup FSX & go to controller settings4. FSX does NOT see either hat as a pov (ie. move either hat for the settings to recognize it)5. Shut down FSX, run CH Manager - verify "switch pov" is unchecked, save/download map6. Startup FSX, go to "view pan" setting7. FSX now recognizes & sets up LEFT hat pov8. FSX just will NOT "see" the right hat as a pov!So, guess the problem is with FSX, NOT with the Eclipse yoke!Could also be another stinking anomaly with Windows 7 - I have certainly found plenty of them so far!
