After flying years with RC, changed my system to Win7 64 Ultimate .Installed RC again got my activation. Interesting things happening. Tried several flights. For ex. Start RC try to contact ground. The frequency is there. A beep ton comes with N/A text. Then i request RWY he directs me to that RWY then says contact tower as usual when i get closer to the RWY. But then again he forgets me. Or says i am the number three even there is no other aircraft. Or he lets me descent to 12000 then no more directions. Same problems happens with my Co-Pilot also. Controller says contact Approach he acknowleged the command but doesnt contact the Approach.Any help.I rebuild the Database several times.Uninstall it again and make new clean installation maybe that helps.Because; at the beginning tried to install RC on WideFs second PC. But couldn't make it. Maybe corrupt something. RegardsFerdi Vefa

I've seen things like this occasionally, seems that the RC4 thread is not getting scheduled by the OSat key times, only thing I can think of is make sure its set to run as Administrator. For what its worth I use RC4 on Win7 64 Ultimate also and it does not exhibit this problem, so its atuning issue on your system.Good luck!

OK. I am installing now.One more thing too. I added Aerosoft AES for about 20 airports. But searched the forum there is no issue about any conflict between those. AES uses Ctrl+Shift+W but RC doesnt use these comb'nat'on also.

First make sure FSUIPC, WideFS, and Makerwys is current from the links in the thread posted in the forum top. These might have something to do with system timing/priority fixes. If replacing makerwys be sure to run the scenery rebuild from within RC, not run makerwys directly.Be sure you are running RC4.3 build 4385. If not, send an e-mail to [email protected] for a download link. Be sure to include the e-mail address you used for ordering and registration.See if RC runs OK with just FS running and no other add-ons running concurrently. If you have Pre-recorded chatter turned on disable it to reduce the load on RC. It is not functional except for ambiance.Close down any not needed services in Win 7.If you run Active Sky Enhanced, be sure to run their service pack announced on their forum to improve its resource demand requirements.Be sure you have the latest FS service pack installed as some of these affect performance issues.

I use two monitors. One is overwiew the other holds 5 PMDG panels all open and together (PFD-ND-Overhaed-FMC-Main). But my machine is Intel i7 Quad 2.8 Mhz with 6GB Ram and 260GTX video card. I cant imagine that this could be a performance issue. I do a test flight right now. After landing i will check all versions that you mentioned. Thanks for helps and advices.I have 4.3 Build 3845

I made the flight from LEIB to EBBR. Before flight used FsBuild for my flight plan as always. Entered the Cruize Altitude 31000 Feet. Then started the flight. 60 NM. from EBBR ATC descend me to 12000 then told me contact Aprroach. Co_pilot did it but no response. Landed manually. After landing opened the RC window and saw that my cruize altitude is 12000 feet. Actually before flight it was 31000 feet. I loaded the same plan (which is already under Flightplans folder) and it is exactly 31000 feet. Something changed it from 31000 to 12000 ? As add-on's i have, ActiveSky6.5, FsPassengers, FS RealTime, AES

I have one caution about AS 6.5 in addition to what you are talking about. (That is the version I use.) There is in its options window under StartUp and General there is an option for Auto-Convert to FS9 .pln. Be sure that is not checked and save the configuration. It puts some modifications in the file that RC4 does not like when you load the plan into the AS65 processing window to generate your weather report/navlog. In addition in AS65 options turn off the flightwatch text and especially the flightwatch voice (I think it is set for 122.1 on COM 2) which can interfere with RC audio.Let in your RC options have it autotune your comms for you. I have the PMDG 737NGs and it works OK. Try when it is near time to contact approach to take the comms from the co-pilot and handle those your self with an ack and contact selection in the menu. See if that works OK. It lets you follow what is happening a little easier. Before flying I always open the controller tab and proof the cruising altitude and other settings. When you have got about a hundred miles to go to destination alt-tab to RC and click Debug to start a log. Then alt-tab back to FS. Follow the instructions about zipping it up and sending it in to jd. You might want before starting another flight to get it zipped up because if you run Debug again it will overwrite the rc4.log file in its folder. You can rename it if you wish so it does not get overwritten. These instructions are in a thread at the top of this forum.

Thanks Ronzie. I will do.

İ made a log file but didnt send it. Cause i think there is conflict between Activesky which is on wideclient PC and RC4 on the main PC with FS. And have Win7 Ultimate. Activesky cannot be installed properly on Wideclint. Or maybe i couldnt do it. It cant see the shared network paths correctly. Everytime need to be given manually. BUT if i skip all the Error messages with Cancel option Activesky can still work from the other PC and update the weather ????? Then i get the WX from RC for QNH and Runway preparation. Then tune the Radio Frequency to 118:00 for not listening the ATIS anymore. When i start the Taxi suddenly RC changes the Runway then Beeps and get on RC window N/A sign. From this point sometime i loose the contact to ATC. At the end i guess there is problem with my configuration nothing from RC. I am using it since 3 three years without any problem. But after changing to Homecockpit with several PC's Radio's MCP etc. did something wrong which i have to find bymyself. Afte rsome tests and solving the problems on my config i will send the log file.

I don't have Win 7 but usually there are many security issues especially with networking. (Turning off UAC in Win 7 does not disable all UAC protection.) Make sure on your client and host that AS65 is a trusted application and both PCs are trusted network connections as well as wideserver and wideclient. If AS starts to write weather to FS but it gets delayed then you might get the sudden changes in RC. AS65 has a button to refresh the AI (which quickly updates the FS reaction to the weather after AS completes writing to FS and causes AI to start flying the correct pattern). If AS is not seeing the FS folders over the network because of security issues there probably are communication issues. A way to insure AI/Weather refresh on your host is to advance FS time by one minute as a check.Your created and loaded FS flights should all have the clear weather theme. FSUIPC will see this and issue a clear all weather theme. In FS dynamic weather changes should be off. I only mention this because of perhaps you reinstalled things for your new setup.Another thing to check is if Win 7 offers any kind of network resource throttling on its net drivers to conserve resources. If it does be sure it is set for always live. You may require using virtual drive letters assigned to shared drives on your host for AS65 to see them from your client. See if that works over WideFS and WideServer and check their documentation.I recommend installing this on your FS host and running it in a second window. You can set it to refresh every three seconds or more. It provides in a separate windows a table that shows AI behavior:http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/TrafficLook.zipLook for sudden changes in AI first for disappearing with a refresh and then after a couple of minutes a stable patern flow responding to the FS weather patterns. You can read, of course, the weather in FS using the Shift-Z function. I think the winds shown this way are true bearing, not magnetic so be aware of some difference. Finally, be aware that aircraft models like the PMDGs can have a high refresh rate for their panel/instrument updates. Way back in my memory I think there might be a way to control this. Since you are running sub-panels via networked PCs it could be a communications traffic density issue.I think once this is all straightened out, you can start RC in a better stabilized FS environment for weather and AI. Always START RC after weather is stabilized. The same applies to your FMC setup regarding performance entries because typically the FMC depends on OAT and winds for correct departure surface operations optimization. It needs to calculate density altitude and wind components for your departure V speeds.http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54 is the FSUIPC, Wideview, and other Pete Dowson product support forum. I'd search that to see if there are any networking advice issues. Here is a related network communications topic not solved yet but you could follow its trouble-shooting procedures. Pete is on vacation until July 24. While about FSX it does seem to orient itself around Win 7 users.

Yesterday on the net while searching saw a thread in a forum that says in Win 7 DON'T install the FS in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games (which comes automatically during the installation). Just install it in C:\FS9 directory. After 2 weeks of installation time (the Hard and software's) its for me no more any option to re-install FS9 again. But i will install the AS6.5 also on Host machine with RC and FS9 together. It is i7 2.8 Quad. There will be no problem with the hardware. And will give the AS time before running RC.Thanks giving me time and for all your advices Ronzie.Ferdi Vefa

You can do it this way if you wish for Active Sky, FS, RC and anything elese on your host and client:Create shortcuts for all of those FS add-on programs including FS itself. For each shortcut right click to get to properties. Get to Advanced. Set each shortcut to Run as Admin. That should enable access to and from FS on the same machine or via client. see how that works.Since you do not need to access AS once it starts you may as you suggested run it on the host machine to reduce net traffic. You will still need to set its shortcut to run it as an administrator as with RC and FS itself.
