July 11, 201015 yr For the last several weeks I have been dealing with an issue that only shows up at KMEM at nite. After about ten minutes (give or take a few) I will get a crash to black. The error messages are almost always: g2d.dll, g3d.dll, fe.dll. I have tried different drivers for the vid card, removed all scenery for memphis and surrounding area. Have also gone thru the addon sceneries looking for empty texture folders all to no avail. Changed cloud and ground textures. Seems that this happens more in the early evening as it does not seem to occur late at nite. Can run in and out of MEM during the daylite hours without a hitch. At this point I really don't know what else to do, as this is not a problem anywhere else.Knowing that textures can be responsible for problems like this, makes me wonder if there could be an "evening" texture that is corrupt. That said, is there any kind of app that can scan the textures for corrupted files? Have tried FS manager but that has not helped. Any help is welcome as I am out of ideas as to how to find and correct this. Regards, Joe Esposito
July 11, 201015 yr Are you using default or addon scenery?Have you tested both with/without AI?regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
July 11, 201015 yr Author Am using addon scenery and AI. Have tested with addon scenery removed, no AI. Just about every way I can think to set it up I have tried. Used alot of different aircraft as well. Even put my GTX280 vid card back in and tried that all with the same result Regards, Joe Esposito
July 11, 201015 yr What addon scenery do you use? The best gift you can give your children is your time.
July 11, 201015 yr Author Blueprint KMEM. As stated above get this issue with the addon and default scenery. I tried a MEM addon from the scenery library and the issue is there with that one as well. I forgot to add one of the error messages: d3d9.dll. Have been trying to get off the ground with the default scenery and like with the addons, I never make it to the runway. Regards, Joe Esposito
July 12, 201015 yr Author Well... I have come to the place where I guess I will just have to stay away from KMEM during the evening. I have tried everything I can think of to find and fix this issue but there just does not seem to be an answer. This really stinks as evening is when quite a few of the FedEx flights leave MEM. If anyone has any ideas my eyes and ears are open! Regards, Joe Esposito
