Well..to break out of PNW and see if anything else is alive and well, I decided today to take a flight out of Adelaide, Australia. The scenery is beautiful, things are looking great and interesting on my flight down the coast. I'm hopping over to a regional airfield as today out of Adelaide, it is IFR restricted.Scoot on over down under...and see what the Oz Guys and Gals have been doing. Seriously the latest edition of Oz is very, very nice.Post Edit: Just landed. Wow...these airports are pretty detailed. You'd think they were pay-ware. I'm going to hang out in Australia for awhile, and field-hop my way around in the Bonanza. Toodeloo....Mitch

Welcome to Australia. As an Australian, I do most of my flying in Aus. With Orbx's FTX Australia scenery and OZx airports etc, it really is a great place to fly. Certainly far better than what it was with default FSX scenery. Having myself actually travelled a lot in this country with my job, and indeed having been to many of the airports depicted in the FTX and OZx work, it is great to fly to a location and actually recognise the features and landmarks as if you were really there. As an example, in real life, I recall sitting on a bench just outside the terminal at Port Macquarie airport (YPMQ) in New South Wales and eating my lunch as I waited for the arrival of the Dash 8 I was travelling on ... that airport and surrounding scenery is beautifully rendered in FSX thanks to the FTX and OZx guys and that same bench is right there rendered in the sim. Seeing that bench in the sim as I taxied the Cessna Caravan up to the terminal brought back memories for me of that lovely sunny day in Port Macquarie, sitting and eating my lunch. That kind of detail really makes the scenery all the more better and greatly adds to the realism of it all. You're right. The scenery is beautiful and things do look great and interesting on flights up and down the coast with this scenery installed. Even better if you live here and know the place well enough to realise just how close to the real thing the work they've done is. It's great stuff.

Regards,

Freddy
