Please help build me a system

OK.. About 2.5 years ago, I built myself a Dual Core OC to 3.3Ghz PC. The performance has been totally inadequate and hence I have not used my Sim for almost a year and a half.,..hoping a fast processor would come along and make my experience better.Has the time arrived?Could someone suggest a good value for money system? Lets say, $2000-$3000 range. Something that can be OCed as well. I plan to have Win 7 64bit and prefer 4 monitors. 3 for front view and 1 Touchscreen.A CPUMother BoardMemoryVideo cardStuff like HD and soundcard and Keyboard etc, I can salvage from my old PC. I have almost 5TB of HD on my current system loaded with Photoscenery and other addons.Anyone?Manny

Well, I have no idea how to run 4 screens, but for the hardware, it's really simple: 980x, GTX480, motherboard in the quality of mine or higher, memory 6GB of some Corsair or similar quality RAM in the 2000mhz league. If too much money for the CPU, go 930 or 960.And some reeeeeeeeeeeally good cooling - like water or really good air (though I never preferred air).In the end - overclock the beast as high as it can go!

Not really, Intel has new things coming up, Sandy Bridge I believe, but that's probably coming something like 1st quarter 2011, so if you feel like waiting couple of months to see if FSX benefits from it... I think 980x will serve you best right now. It's highly overclockable and has 6 cores.Don't forget you need a really good PSU for that machine. 800W+ should be in, Corsair 850W sells here for around 140€.If it's in your budget, you could always kick the 2nd GTX480 in it, many are reporting abilites to run ridiculously high IQ (AA, AF) on FSX, which makes it look really awesome! Not really a requirement though...Rest is just the best there is, very simple. Fast RAM is important since you plan on overclocking, obviously. And yes, this is the best you can do at the moment.

For what it's worth...My system built a few months ago, just before the 930 was released, enables me to overclock to 4.2GHz with ease.Lian Li P50 caseCorsair 850 watt PSUi7 920 [go for a 930]Asus P6T motherboard [Do you really need the deluxe features?]6GB OCZ Gold [Cas 8]My old 7900GTX [can't afford new one yet]Noctua NH-D14 Cooler [superb]Reasonably low cost and FSX runs great, as does Call of Duty and other games.
